BRONCHITIS

Is the inflammation of the bronchial tubes. The inflammation causes swelling of the lining of these breathing tubes, narrowing the tubes and promoting the secretion of inflammatory fluid.
Acute bronchitis may be caused by chemicals, viral, and bacterial infections. Chronic bronchitis is usually defined as a daily cough with sputum production for at least three months, two years in a row. It is usually associated with tobacco abuse.
